Good, but could be better

Date:January 18, 2012
The radio works fine in Toronto and I like that it has a recharging cradle (and can also be used with AA batteries that won't recharge in the cradle), but:
- The backlight only turns on for 5 seconds, it cannot be set to stay on.
- The power and backlight buttons are quite difficult to actuate (you need to use your fingernails, as they have a stiff cover (no doubt to make them water-resistant).
- The power button cycles through a few modes, so you need to push the button a few times to turn it on.
In any case, this radio is not on Oregon Scientific's web site, so is likely a discontinued model.

Good for reports - short battery life

Date:August 9, 2011
The radio is very easy to set up in Canada. Go to Environment Canada and look under Weatheradio for the Location Codes. The battery though lasts less than 1 day on a full charge. Not good if you were without power while camping or away from a power source. But overall a decent radio.
