Product Highlights: Good for Variety of Ages
Very stable heli; no-hands hover indoors. Outdoors require Mode-2 operation to fight winds.
Mode-1 and Mode-2 options on the radio make the heli docile and authoritative respectively.
Radio is equipped with 3-Channel or 4-Channel option.
4CH gives full cyclic control while 3CH takes away roll function and backwards flight for beginners. Swash plate is controlled by 2 servos at 90 degrees apart.
Comes with spare main blades and tail blade.
LCD screen displays 2.4GHz signal strength, transmitter battery level, trim settings, etc. Radio has charging outlet for field charging. Charger can be powered from a USB port also and takes about 30 minutes to charge the mini 3.7V Li-ion.
Flight time is roughly 5 minutes.
Over all, the heli can be flown by beginners with the required setting and it has the functionalities for expert flyers too.
Can and will survive countless crashes as long as the throttle is killed immediately before or after a crash.
Tail rotor will bind occasionally from pet or human hairs and needs to be cleaned to prevent tail motor overheating.

Contrôle ultime

Date:July 10, 2013
Product Highlights: Educational, Addicting, Long Play Life, Value for Money, Durable, Entertaining/ Fun, Challenging

Interesting...

I thought I would be able to take off any fly. That wasn't the case - this takes some learning for someone who has never flown one of these before. In 3ch mode I had no luck, as the thing just drifted out of control all of the time (indoors or out). After several charges, I worked out that in 4ch mode you could counter that and maintain some level of control as a beginner. It's hard work, but fun once you start to get it! It definitely take some patience to learn.
The range on this model is really good - I have had it (by accident) about 30m away and maybe 10m high and never lost the connection. I learned from another review to kill the throttle when you do lose control.- after about an hour of flying I have crashed a million times with no damage. I am just beginning to learn how to control the helicopter and adjust the trim after that time. I have hit myself, my 3 year old and one of my cats and no one got hurt :)
The downsides are that this is a hard unit to control. I almost took it back - but I am glad that I didn't. The lithium polymer battery is not like lithium ion, in that the power will fade as the charge gets weaker. The flying time is about 3 to 5 minutes before you lose the power required to maintain control, I have found that the trim settings don't remain constant as the battery fades.
Overall, I love this unit - the fact that it hasn't broken yet is a major plus to me, and I like the challenge to learn how to fly it. Once you do learn how it works, the 4ch mode gives excellent control flexibility. I don't regret my choice as this is a perfect unit to learn to fly without relying on too many control aides - but be prepared for the effort if like me, you're a beginner. If only the battery was better this would get 5*s!
